Located within the University Endowment Lands (UEL) near UBC, the Western Crescent and Kingston Road Sewer Separation project involves major underground infrastructure upgrades to improve the existing municipal sewer system.
This project includes the installation of new storm and sanitary sewer mains, manholes, and related utility infrastructure within an active residential neighborhood and heavily used public roadway corridor. Due to the constrained site conditions and proximity to residences, maintaining safe access, minimizing disruption, and ensuring clear communication with the community were key priorities throughout construction.
Our team implemented detailed traffic management plans, coordinated daily construction activities to maintain local access, and carefully managed laydown and staging areas to reduce impacts on nearby residents. Dust control, noise mitigation, and continuous site housekeeping measures were maintained to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Working closely with UEL representatives, consultants, and stakeholders, we delivered essential civil infrastructure upgrades while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to the surrounding community.
